Hi, I’m Anthony Clark (He/Him)
A software engineer and open-source advocate enjoying life on the unceded territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation, Nanaimo BC, Canada.
Growing up on Vancouver Island my childhood was spent mostly outside. I was enrolled in our local Beaver, Cub, and Scout groups where I learned to enjoy hiking and camping. During an outing with my scout group I was introduced to rockclimbing and quickly fell in love with it. I started competing and went as far as the Junior World Cup in Imst, Austria.
In Highschool I started to explore my interest in computers and programming. Web development at the time consisted of table-based layouts written in notepad, this was before CSS Zen Garden. It's been interesting to see how the web has evolved since those early days.
After graduating from highschool I attended a technical school to complete a certificate in Internet Essentials. I continued to study at Vancouver Island University, completing a diploma in Digital Media Technology and Wide Area Technology.
As part of a practicum I developed a content management system for a local company and ended up working there on and off for 15 years.
I'm currently working as a programmer with the lovely folks at Tighten .
