I've always wanted a space where I can openly share my thoughts and experiences. A space I can call my own. My own space. My space.

Writing has never come easy to me. I've always struggled to put my thoughts into words. Seeing my thoughts written down is like one of those magic eye paintings. You have to really squint and look at it from a different angle to see the picture. My hope is, having a place to practice will help me with my goal of improving my writing and communication skills.

This site is built using InertiaJS, React, and TailwindCSS, with content written in MDX format. Using InertiaJS allows me to work with an increase my React experience in a familiar setting. React is also popular with the TailwindCSS team who have realeased a lot of designs and components for React.

It was a challenge to get the MDX articles to work with InertiaJS. I to write a regex I'm not particularly proud of to get metadata from the MDX files into PHP. It works for now, but I hope to figure out a better solution in the future.

I'm excited to see where this blog goes. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it.
